You're Creating a Life

EP24 - You’re Creating a Life with Ed Lederman.

Thanks for listening to another episode of The DreamMason® Podcast.

The Standard NY said this about my next guest, “Ed Lederman is a lover of New York. Looking

at his images is somewhat of a love letter to the city. His panoramic photos are immense, overwhelming, and transport you straight into the environment he pursues to bottle. His other images are vignettes that evoke an emotion reminding us all why we moved to this hectic city that feeds our sensibilities.”

Ed Lederman has been a professional photographer for over 40 years. He’s taken photos of Bill & Hillary Clinton, JK Rowling , New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, and had special access to shoot The Whitney Museum, The Statue of Liberty and many other architectural sites.

After graduating college he went against the loving words of advice and support from his family to pursue a Masters in Child Psychology and chased his dream of being a professional photographer. Ed struggled for years, making little money, being rejected and learning on the job from great photographers such as Annie Leibovitz and Bill Ray. Then he realized that until he deeply and truly committed to photography he would never make it.

Ed and I discuss how he kept pursing a his dream even when it seemed impossible, how to be committed and believe you are one step ahead of where you actually are.
