Tara Mackey is the best-selling author of Cured by Nature, a successful entrepreneur, the founder of Genetix Organic Skin Care, and the writer of The Organic Life, a highly regarded and very popular blog. Tara wasn’t handed this successful life––she built and created it from scratch. “Born on drugs” she was exposed to alcohol, cocaine, and heroin while in the womb, and at age six witnessed her mother’s overdose. Before Tara was ten she was put on Lithium, and by her twenties she was ingesting 14 prescription drugs. In 2011 she quit all of them cold turkey, and became an advocate for holistic, mindful and healthy healing.
Tara has told her origin story many times, and while this is HER story, we don’t spend too much time on the past. In this conversation we discuss:
